Did you know that you can change your state of mind within just a few minutes with breathing alone? 

Do you ever notice HOW you breathe? IF you breathe?

I spend most of my time simply reminding people to breathe and EXHALE!

When we get stressed out we tend to forget this simple thing that keeps us alive on auto-pilot. We hold our breath and then wonder why we get sick, why we feel bad and low on energy.

Well, do you know how to breathe deeply?? Are you using your full lung capacity?

Breathing can get you in balance on all levels – physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. Apart from providing oxygen to your cells with deep and mindful breathing, you also get the essential life energy – Qi, Ki AKA Prana. That will make you feel balanced and energized and will help de-clutter your mind.

Pretty amazing, right??

The technique I’d like to share with you today is called the 4-7-8 breathing technique. It will help alleviate stress and anxiety, because it works like your body’s natural tranquilizer for the nervous system.

Sounds good?

There are so many benefits you get with this technique that I could write for ages, so let me get to the point.

Step 1 – Close your mouth and breathe in through your nose to the count of 4.

Step 2 – Hold the breath for a count of seven (counting in your mind)

Step 3 – Exhale through your mouth slowly, making a “whoosh” sound as you exhale for the count of 8.

Repeat this 3-4 times and see how you feel. You may feel a bit light-headed at first, especially if you’re not used to deep breathing. But don’t give up! Just take a break and repeat again.

The best part about breathing is that is easy, free, always available AND it works! I just love it!
